Arrow Limousine Worldwide: Post Hurricane Sandy

Arrow has always made an effort to be prepared for the improbable. The owner’s (Edward Somers) decision to install a natural gas operated generator after a series of electrical outages a few years ago proved to be our life line. Arrow continued to provide service through the early stages of the storm. We were independent of the public’s gas lines due to our private in ground tank and we were able to pump due to the generator. We gained many new clients and enhanced our relationship with our existing ones by substituting our service for the many mass transit options that had been compromised.
When we regained power after about 17 days, we were operating at normal capacity. The clients we had unfortunately lost due to the devastation had been compensated by the new needs we were supplying. The challenges today are primarily due to keeping up with the closures (bridge, road, towns, etc.) left over from the storm. We have to credit our committed staff for the sacrifices they made to make it in to work. Many Arrow employees were significantly affected by Sandy. We are all trying to support one another any way we can. Arrow Limousine as a whole was extremely fortunate compared to many businesses in the area. We wish everyone well as we prepare for an optimistic summer and the impending Super Bowl in early 2014.
